BAC 1st/2nd GRADE BOYS FALL WELCOME INFORMATION

Game schedules will be posted on TeamSnap in the next couple weeks.

THINGS YOUR CHILD WILL NEED:

  • Shin Guards
  • Size 4 Soccer Ball
  • Soccer cleats
  • Water bottle
  • Bug Spray
  • A uniform shirt will be provided to your child on the first day. They may wear shorts or sweatpants depending on the weather.

We are using TeamSnap to help coaches and parents communicate. You will receive an e-mail from TeamSnap with the information you need to login. Using the website or the app, you can see team information, schedule of practices and games, and receive updates. If you do not have login information you can simply request a password reset.  https://accounts.teamsnap.com/

Cancellations due to inclement weather will be sent via email blasts, posted on the website and social media. Soccer plays in the rain! The times when we cancel are due to excessive rain, thunder/lightning, or whatever else Mother Nature decides to throw at us 😉 so please be patient and wait for those alerts.

Standings

1st/2nd Grade Division Game Format

Game Format:

  • 6 versus 6 (5 field players and 1 goalkeeper). Due to smaller team sizes coaches may decide before the game to play 5 versus 5 (4 field players and 1 goalkeeper).

Game Length:

  • Prior to the start of the game, coaches for each team should agree to one of the following formats:

    • 2 twenty-five minute halves (50 minute total game time) with a ten minute half time;

    • 4 twelve minute quarters (48 minute total game time) with 2 minute quarter breaks and a 6 minute half time.

  • Game timer should run continuous except for half and quarter break. No added time.

Rules of Play:

  • Size 4 Soccer Ball.

  • Fouls (e.g. hand ball, tripping, pushing of player, intentional heading) will result in an

  • indirect free kick (i.e. the ball needs to touch another player before a goal can be scored).

  • No direct free kicks.

  • Substitutions are unlimited and can occur at any game stoppage (e.g. ball out of bounds).

  • No intentional heading of the ball.

  • No penalty kicks.

  • Offsides to be called.

  • No scoring of games.

Player Equipment:

  • Shin guards (mandatory) – needs to be inside of soccer socks.

  • Only soccer cleats allowed; no metal cleats or cleats that have a middle toe cleat.

  • Mouth guards for players with braces (mandatory).

  • Eye glass straps for players wearing glasses (mandatory).

  • No jewelry (earrings, fitbits, watches, bracelets, etc.).
