Board Members

Treasurer

Position Summary:
The Treasurer manages the league’s finances, ensuring proper budgeting, reporting, and compliance. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Please Note: Treasurer will work along side our CPA to execute on these responsibilities.
Maintain accurate financial records and oversee all transactions.
Prepare and present regular financial reports to the board.
Develop and monitor the league’s budget.
Manage player fee collection and disbursement of league expenses.
Ensure compliance with legal and tax requirements.

Qualifications:

Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
Experience with bookkeeping or accounting software is preferred.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Marketing/Sponsorship Director

Position Summary:
The Marketing/Sponsorship Director promotes the league through outreach, communications, and partnerships. This role includes managing sponsorship efforts, ensuring community support and funding for league activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a marketing plan to increase league visibility and player participation.
Design and distribute promotional materials, such as flyers and newsletters.
Recruit and manage sponsorships by engaging with local businesses and community organizations.
Create sponsorship packages and ensure sponsor recognition at league events.
Collaborate with the Rec Director and other leaders to ensure cohesive communication strategies.
Followup to make sure sponsors have paid and are receiving everything included in their sponsorship.

Qualifications:

Marketing or communication experience, preferably in sports or nonprofit organizations.
Strong writing, graphic design, and social media management skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with sponsors and community partners.

Recreational Director

Position Summary:
The Rec Director oversees all aspects of the recreational soccer program, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for players, parents, coaches, and volunteers. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage league operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute the seasonal structure, including registration, team formation, schedules, and events.
Serve as the main point of contact for parents, coaches, and volunteers in the recreational league.
Be a regular presence on field to be available to coaches and/or parents
Ensure compliance with league policies, rules, and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with the Head of Rec Coaching, Ref Coordinator, and Jamboree Coordinator for program success.
SNHRec Liaison
Provide regular updates to the league leadership.

Qualifications:

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Effective communicator with experience in community or youth programs.
Knowledge of soccer is a plus but not required.

Board Member

Position Summary:
Board Members support the overall mission and operations of the league by providing guidance, oversight, and active participation in key initiatives. This role requires a commitment to the league's success and collaboration with other board members to create a positive experience for players, families, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

Attend and actively participate in board meetings and events.
Assist in decision-making and strategic planning for league operations.
Volunteer for specific tasks, committees, or events as needed (e.g., fundraising, community outreach, or logistics).
Advocate for the league in the community, promoting programs and recruiting participants or volunteers.
Support compliance with league policies, rules, and safety standards.
Provide insight and feedback on initiatives to improve the league's programs and services.

Qualifications:

Passion for youth sports and community engagement.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to dedicate time and effort to league activities and responsibilities.

Additional Volunteer Positions

Assistant Travel Director

Position Summary:
The Assistant Travel Director supports the Travel Director in managing the travel soccer program. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth program operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with team formation, scheduling, and communication.
Handle travel program issues in the absence of the Travel Director.
Support administrative tasks, including paperwork and player registrations.
Serve as a liaison between coaches and the board.

Qualifications:

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of soccer is preferred but not required.

Assistant Recreational Director

Position Summary:
The Assistant Rec Director supports the Rec Director in managing the recreational soccer program.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with team assignments, scheduling, and event planning.
Address concerns and questions from parents and coaches.
Be a regular presence on field to be available to coaches and/or parents
Take on responsibilities in the absence of the Rec Director.
Collaborate with other directors to ensure smooth program operations.

Qualifications:

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of youth sports preferred but not required.

Travel Coaching Director

Position Summary:
The Travel Coaching Director develops and oversees coaching guidelines and training for the league. This role ensures coaches are equipped to provide a safe, fun, and skill-building environment for all players.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruit, train, and support volunteer coaches.
Develop age-appropriate coaching materials and practice plans.
Host preseason coaching clinics and ongoing training sessions.
Act as the point of contact for coaching-related concerns and provide mentorship as needed.
Monitor and assess coach performance to ensure alignment with league goals.
Collaborate with the Travel Director to address program needs.

The Jamboree Coordinator plans and executes the end-of-season jamboree, creating a celebration that showcases players’ growth and enjoyment throughout the season. This position requires creativity, organization, and teamwork to ensure a fun and memorable event.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a plan for the jamboree, including activities, games, and awards.
Coordinate logistics such as field assignments, schedules, and event setup.
Work with volunteers, vendors, and sponsors to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate event details to parents, coaches, and league staff.
Oversee the event day, ensuring it runs smoothly and addresses any issues that arise.
Collect feedback after the event to improve future jamborees.

Ability to manage volunteers and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
